Description
Presented is an antique silverplate and natural abalone or mother of pearl shell serving spoon made in America during the last quarter of the 19th century. This piece is very unique and was hand crafted during the 1880s or the 1890s. The silver handle is beautifully cast in a twisted rope and flower pattern. The bowl of the spoon is made of a natural hard sea shell with beautiful iridescence inside and out. This piece is in great overall condition and the designs are crisp.
