Stones are amethyst quartz cabochons, coral and turquoise. This piece is gorgeous, the centerpiece is a Matilde Poulat MATL design executed by noted silversmith Miguel Garcia Martinez . Fully signed with the 925 sterling circle Mexico mark having center AA and TA-35 below. Spectacular center medallion has a hinged lower portion with wavy bezel set amethyst quartz and dangles with turquoise stones. Open work with beading, beading along the top and applied throughout the medallion portion. Upper portion has the pair of repousse doves with coral eyes, channels filled with coral and turquoise stones, a large oval center turquoise cabachon and profuse twisted rope and applied wire work. 16 sterling links are piecrust crimped with center amethyst flanked by turquoise stones in wavy bezels, so pretty. Box latch with small turquoise stone. Utilizing the same techniques and Spanish Baroque design motifs in Matl jewelry which make it so desireable. Beautiful workmanship and design execution. Martinez was known for his beautiful copies of some of the top Mexican silversmiths at the time. Possible due to no design copyrights if I'm not mistaken. Makes a beautiful wedding / bridal necklace. It is a Malt design and executed with great skill. Beautiful pre-owned, well cared for condition. All stones present and in good condition. Fulled closed sterling back, links included. I have not polished the silver and leave that to the new owner if desired. It has a beautiful light quality coming from the silver as it is now to my eye. Some light age related minor surface wear to backside from storage. The circle stamp on back is partially illegible due to the stamping, 925 is legible for the sterling rating, and likely refers to Mexico origins as well. Measures approx. 20-1/4" long overall, measured as shown stretched out. Center medallion approx. 3-1/2" top to bottom of dangles x 2-3/4" at widest, links are 1" long x 7/16" wide.
